What happens at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony?

The Chamber sends out invitations to the Chamber Blue Coats, City and County elected officials, and media. The event is advertised on our calendar of events and in our weekly e-newlsetter.

A member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, typically the Chair of the Board, will welcome guests and the business will introduce themselves with a short overview of the company before the official cutting of the ribbon.

A photo from the event is shared on the Chamber website and social media, and is featured in the local newspaper.


New Members automatically receive the opportunity to host a ribbon cutting ceremony with us. We find it is best to hold these events on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at either 11:30a.m. or 4:30p.m.
