TLC Approaching May 6 & 7

The show will go on for the 55th Annual Texas Legislative Conference held in New Braunfels this coming May 6-7 at the McKenna Events Center. The event includes a Thursday evening reception honoring 2021 Texan of the Year Glenn Hegar and a half-day conference on Friday with a variety of timely topics.

The conference will kick off with an opening address by Commissioner George P. Bush. Panels cover the Social Impacts of Covid-19 with moderator Diane Rath of Alamo Area Council of Governments, State Budgeting & Texas’ Economic Resilience with moderator Robert Howden, Chairman of Texans for Economic Progress, and a media panel on the recent topic of the statewide winter power outages, moderated by Ross Ramsey, Executive Editor and Co-Founder of Texas Tribune.
 
The Conference begins Thursday evening, May 6, with a reception honoring 2021 Texan of the Year Comptroller Hegar. The reception includes dinner and the presentation of the award.
