This past Saturday marked a big step forward for our community. The May 4th General Election included four propositions that made up a $120 million bond and all four passed with wide margins. The propositions include citywide street improvements, a sports field complex, a new police station, two new fire stations, and a new library on the West Side, among other projects. In March the Chamber’s Board of Directors passed a resolution supporting the full bond package.

The City Council District 2 seat was also on the ballot and Justin Meadows was re-elected to the position. Meadows was first elected in May 2016 and is now serving his second term. Two New Braunfels ISD at-large positions were also up for election. Incumbents Wes Clark and Dave Heefner were both re-elected. Clark was first elected in 2013 and will now be on his third term while Heefner was elected in 2016 and will be starting his second term.
