RAP Council to Tour NBU Facilities July 21

The Retirees Are Progressive (RAP) Council will meet on Wednesday, July 21 at 9:00 a.m. on site at New Braunfels Utilities for their monthly meeting. Attendees will enjoy a NBU Overview & Tour guided by Robin Britton, Chief Technology and Security Officer for NBU. View the tour agenda below:

1. Welcome and Safety Minute – Melissa Krause 9:00 – 9:05 a.m.

2. Preview and brief overview of the Control Center – Robin Britton and Justin Stroup – 9:05 – 9:20 a.m.

3. Brief overview of the leak detection program – Jason Theurer – 9:20 – 9:35 a.m.

4. Walk to Electric Operations Site – 9:35 – 9:40 a.m.

5. Arching Demonstration – Justin Green/Coby Henk – 9:40 – 9:55 a.m.

6. Walk to Pole Climbing Practice Area – 9:55 – 10:00 a.m.

7. Highlight Lineman’s Rodeo and offer a demo of a lineman pole climb and offer overview of personal   equipment – Justin Green/Coby Henk – 10:00 – 10:15 a.m.

8. Drone Program overview and demo – Justin Stroup/Mike Wiley – 10:15 – 10:30 a.m.

9. Wrap-up / Closing Comments

The Retirees Are Progressive Council consists of individuals who have retired or are partially retired.
