Public Input Sought for Street Improvement Plan – Meeting Set for June 27th

New Braunfels, TX - The City of New Braunfels will host an informational presentation and public input meeting on potential street maintenance projects in City Council Chambers at City Hall, 550 Landa Street, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th.

The initial presentation will feature information about the process used to identify areas for future improvements, currently proposed street maintenance projects, and the 2013 Bond Program street projects.  During the second portion of the meeting, citizens will be asked to provide their input with specific identification of roadways they feel should be evaluated for the 2018 – 2019 Street Improvement Plan.  This data, along with information collected through an upcoming on-line survey, will be analyzed and then a final plan will be presented to City Council for their consideration.

“City staff will be on-hand to facilitate the data collection process and to answer questions concerning the various types of road maintenance employed in the overall program,” said Public Works Director Greg Malatek. “We encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity to find out more about how priorities for street maintenance are developed and to share their opinions on which roadways should be considered for next year’s program.”
