Phyllis Foerster is the Chamber’s Vice President of Membership. In her position she is responsible for membership recruitment and retention, Business After Hours Membership mixers, ribbon cuttings, new member orientations and receptions, and oversees the Blue Coat organization. Foerster is also responsible for the Official Guide to New Braunfels magazine and staffs the Chamber’s Retirees Are Progressive committee.
She has been with the Chamber since 1988 starting out as a front desk receptionist. Her responsibilities then moved to Administrative Assistant and then she assumed the Membership Director position in 1996. Foerster graduated from the Institute for Organization Management from Colorado College Institute in 2001.
Phyllis’ first job was at Landa Park Pool during her high school years. After High School she attended Durham Business School in Austin. Prior to working at the Chamber she worked at John Kenagy Motor Company and in the CISD tax office.
Phyllis was born and raised in New Braunfels and graduated from Canyon High School in 1977. She has married for thirty-one years, has two children and is patiently awaiting her first grandchild in October.
