Rusty Brockman, past VP of Economic Development for the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce was sworn in as Mayor of New Braunfels on May 26, 2020 during the New Braunfels City Council meeting. Brockman served as the VP of Economic Development for over 16 years helping to create a diverse economy where the fast growing New Braunfels community can thrive. One of his goals during his time at the Chamber was to provide a stable economy with good paying jobs so the people of New Braunfels could work and live in the same town. The most important part of achieving this goal is to have different community partners all working together towards one goal.
“New Braunfels has been good to me and my family for over 30 years. It is the place I have had two careers, raised my family and where I get to watch my grandchildren grow. I wanted to serve in a role where I might be helpful because of my knowledge and experience of this great community.”
