Natural Resources Committee Hears Air Quality Update

Published Monday, September 4, 2017 3:00pm

Natural ResourcesThe Chamber’s Natural Resources Committee will meet for their quarterly meeting on Thursday, September 7, at 11:45 a.m. in Honors Hall. An Air Quality specialist from the Alamo Area Council of Governments, Lily Crowder, will present the program on the air quality in the San Antonio-New Braunfels MSA. Due to new air quality standards set by the EPA and enforced by TCEQ, the last and largest MSA is on the brink of becoming a non-attainment City. San Antonio has work to do to maintain that distinction, but is currently being watched closely because ozone levels have continued to rise.

The Natural Resources Committee provides information and resources to Chamber members in the areas of water, air, land conservation, environmental topics and how to protect the natural resources in New Braunfels and Comal County. This committee meets quarterly for lunch and a program. For more information on this committee, or any of the Chamber’s committees, visit www.CommitteesInNewBraunfels.com.
