Awards were given to two distinguished Airmen of Randolph Air Force Base on Tuesday, March 8th at the Military Affairs Reception at American Legion Walton F. Hoffman Memorial Post 179

Awardee for the 2021 Airman of the 4th Quarter was recognized to be Senior Airman Samiyah Hall for her exceptional work in the Randolph Air Force Base clinic as Mental Health Technician. Hall's supervisors praise her top-notch knowledge of her job and duties as well as her ability to thrive under pressure. She strives to continue her career in the hopes that her time in the Air Force will allow for her to travel to new locations.

The 2021 Airman of the Year awardee was announced to be Senior Airman Tiffany Draughn, who has since been promoted to Staff Sergeant . Draughn joined the military four years ago in search for better opportunities for both her and her son. She is currently stationed at Randolph Air Force Base and is working within the Security Forces Squadron while volunteering in her free time. Alongside her career, Draughn is pursuing her degree in biology and psychology and aspires to become an officer within the United States Air Force.

Both awardees were given gift baskets filled to the brim with donations made by New Braunfels businesses as a signal of support and appreciation for the work that these military members perform and were presented with Key to the City certificates. In addition to these prizes, these distinguished Airmen received the title "A Princess of the City of a Prince" presented by Chair of the Board Ian Taylor.
