Military Affairs Committee Hosting 50th Anniversary Luncheon

The Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee invites Chamber members to attend a 50th Anniversary Luncheon on Tuesday, May 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the McKenna Events Center. The luncheon is presented by Rougeux & Associates PLLC.

Special guest speaker Brigadier General William Spangenthal, Randolph Air Force Base Director of Operations and Communications for the Air Education and Training Command, will provide a keynote address. This event celebrates the 50 year partnership between the Greater New Braunfels Chamber and Randolph Air Force Base.

Tickets are available for $25. The purpose of the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee is to enhance relationships between the New Braunfels community and the military, particularly those Airmen stationed at Randolph AFB. Since 1968, the committee has hosted a quarterly reception for an Outstanding Airman from RAFB to demonstrate our appreciation, ongoing commitment, and support to all who serve our nation. The New Braunfels community has always opened its arms to those who serve and will continue to proudly support all who choose to defend the United States of America.

Brigadier General William A. Spangenthal

Brig. Gen. William A. Spangenthal is the Director of Plans, Programs, Requirements and Assessments, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He assists the AETC Commander in planning and programming $6.5 billion annually supporting 60,000 personnel across 22 bases charged with recruiting, training, and educating for the United States Air Force and our international partners. He develops the Education and Training Core Function Support Plan and AETC’s inputs to the Program Objective Memorandum, leads AETC Strategic Planning, manages flying training and technical training operational capability requirements and oversees the Air Force’s only studies and analysis squadron.
