Kristen Hoyt is an active member of the New Braunfels community as a small business owner and volunteer. Following graduation from the University of Georgia with a degree in education, she moved to Nashville for work in the entertainment industry. She married Matthew Hoyt in 2012 and moved to New Braunfels. They own and operate Corner Tubes.
Since moving to New Braunfels, she's had her hand in various organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Downtown Advisory Board, and the New Braunfels Jaycees. For her efforts with the Jaycees, she was recognized as a Top Five Outstanding Young Texan and a Pillar of the Community in 2018. She has completed local leadership programs such as Leadership New Braunfels, City University, and Citizens Sheriff’s Academy. She currently is a member of NB Women Go and Canyon Lake Noon Lions.
Hoyt currently serves as Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector.
Hoyt is raising two kids, Andrew and Davis, with Matthew. Kristen enjoys traveling with her family and friends, and spends a lot of time outside by the river with her 6 year old Vizsla! She looks forward to further serving the community through public service.

What is one thing on your bucket list? I’d like to see U2 in concert – bonus points if it’s in a different country!
Who is your favorite super hero? I’m not a fan of superheroes and special powers- I like to find inspiration from friends, family, world changers, and occasionally a celebrity or two that’s making a difference!
If you could go on a free vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go? If I could have a free vacation to anywhere in the world, I’d visit Australia and New Zealand with my family to do all things adventurous!
