Kick Off Summer with Memorial Day Weekend in New Braunfels

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick off to summer for travelers from around Texas. As the first long weekend of summer approaches, AAA just released a Memorial Day forecast that projects 43 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home this holiday weekend, which is a 3.6% increase over last year.

All of our water recreation attractions are open! Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, the Landa Park Aquatic Center, and the Guadalupe River from above Canyon Lake and into New Braunfels are ready to host the long weekend.

River rules are kept up to date at www.TubeInNewBraunfels.com. We always advise residents and travelers to enjoy the river by going through a river outfitter as water flows vary. The outfitters provide a one stop shop for parking, shuttles, mesh bags, and tubes. Plus, they know the rules and provide you with a river plan.

In addition to the water attractions mentioned here, other local attractions are also geared up and ready to welcome travelers. These are all family owned and operated, which is what continues to be at the heart of a great vacation experience here in New Braunfels.
