GBRA Lake Presentation on Tonight's Agenda

City of New BraunfelsThe New Braunfels City Council will meet Monday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. for their Regular Meeting at 550 Landa Street. If not attending, the meeting can be viewed on Spectrum Enterprise channel 21 or AT&T U-Verse channel 99. The agenda includes two presentations, four proclamations, seven items on the Consent Agenda, three of which are ordinances, and 10 Individual Items for Consideration,.

The proclamations include Hispanic Heritage Month, Hunger Action Month, National Preparedness Month, and Sons of the American Legion. The first presentation will be a resolution requesting financial assistance from the State of Texas to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) for the costs of the repair, reconstruction, and maintenance of critical infrastructure located at Lake Dunlap, Lake McQueeney, Lake Placid, Meadow Lake, Lake Gonzales, and Lake Wood. The other presentation is for the Solms Landing Public Improvement District and associated financing plan.  

The Consent Agenda includes appointments to the Building Standards Commission, an ordinance creating a temporary San Antonio Street Bridge Safety Zone that will prohibit river and pedestrian traffic upstream, under, and downstream of the bridge, and two rezoning ordinances, among other items.

The Individual Items for Consideration include adoption of the FY 2019-20 Operating Budget and Plan of Municipal Services, adoption of the 2019 ad valorem tax rates, and appointments to the Airport Advisory Board and Library Advisory Board, among other items.
