This year’s Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held on the last Friday in January, as it has been for the last 96 years. The evening was filled with food, fun and excitement. We reflected on our accomplishments, thanked all who contributed to the successes, and honored those who made New Braunfels a better place to live, work, and play. A special thanks goes out to Mark Hampton who served as our Chair in 2014. Under his leadership, the Chamber advanced its mission on both the civic and business sides of our community. The night was capped off with the presentation of the Besserung Award to recipient Mary Jane Nalley, Congratulations! Now it’s time to look forward and introduce the Board of Directors for 2015:

Now that you know the Chamber Board, please feel free to reach out to help us better promote the civic and commercial progress of the area. Our purpose is to fulfill four functions: governance, policy and position development, visionary, and fiduciary. “Through the authority granted in the articles of incorporation and the bylaws, the board is responsible for governing the organization. … The Board reviews and develops policy and positions that will guide the organization and its stakeholders. … In addition, the Board sets the course for the organization well into the future.” Last but not least, “the Board has the responsibility to protect the organization and its resources.”
I also want to take this opportunity to personally and professionally thank the Board for their time and talents as they serve and help to promote New Braunfels: For The Time Of Your Life.
