The City and the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee invites residents to the Key Findings Workshop for the Comprehensive Plan update. This community-wide event will let citizens share their ideas on the draft goals created by each advisory group. The workshop will be held in two segments: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Monday, October 30, at the Civic Convention Center.
Plan Element Advisory Group members brainstormed goals, wrote objectives for the Envision New Braunfels plan, and explored future land use scenarios through an interactive mapping exercise. You can review the goals here and provide your feedback at the workshop.

A community’s Comprehensive Plan provides long-range, community-identified goals and objectives to guide local and regional policy makers on all decisions. The current New Braunfels Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1999 and last updated in 2006. The current community-driven planning effort, known as ‘Envision New Braunfels,’ will be drafted by nine subcommittees or Plan Element Advisory Groups. These groups are made up of approximately 300 interested citizens, residents, property owners and other stakeholders, with more being added daily.
