City Council to Gather for their Regular Meeting

The New Braunfels City Council will meet Monday, October 22 at 6:00 p.m. for their Regular Meeting at 550 Landa Street. If not attending, the meeting can be viewed on Spectrum Enterprise channel 21 or AT&T U-Verse channel 99. The agenda includes two proclamations, four presentations, 18 items on the Consent Agenda, four of which are ordinances, and three Individual Items For Consideration, including the contract between the City of New Braunfels and the Chamber concerning the use of Hotel Occupancy Tax.

The meeting will begin with a proclamation for Municipal Courts Week and Wurstfest, followed by presentations for Wurstfest, a Certificate of Achievement for Planning Excellence, a Comprehensive Plan Award, and the 1998 Flood Commemoration.

The Consent Agenda includes the appointment of four individuals to the Building Standards Commission, a professional services contract for the implementation of the Dry Comal Creek and Comal River Watershed Protection Plan, a License Agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad to construct storm drain improvements within the Union Pacific Right of Way for the Live Oak/Katy Street Drainage Improvements Project, a development agreement for drainage modifications and roadway connection as part of the Alves Lane Improvement Project, and a resolution approving a recommendation of the New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation to approve an authorized project expenditure and to enter into a professional services agreement with the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Inc., among other items.

The Individual Items for Consideration include an ordinance regarding amendments to the Code of Ordinances, Fences and Walls Section, and an amendment to the contract between the City of New Braunfels and the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Inc. concerning the use of Hotel Occupancy Tax, among other items.
