The New Braunfels City Council will meet Monday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m. for their Regular Meeting at 550 Landa Street. If not attending, the meeting can be viewed on Spectrum Enterprise channel 21 or AT&T U-Verse channel 99. The agenda includes four presentations, four proclamations, 15 items on the Consent Agenda, three of which are ordinances, and six Individual Items for Consideration, including amendment to the Peddlers and Solicitors ordinance.
The meeting will begin with four proclamations, including German-American Month, Domestic Violence Month, Chamber of Commerce Week, and Family Promise Week, followed by four presentations.
The Consent Agenda includes a contract for roadway and sidewalk work on California Boulevard as part of the 2019 Bond Program, and an ordinance amending the ordinance that increased the certification and education pay for certain Firefighters and Police Officers, by specifying these are annual payments and clarifying eligibility for Peace Officer Certification Pay, among other items.
The Individual Items for Consideration include the appointment of individuals to the Water Advisory Committee and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and ordinance amending Chapter 90, Peddlers and Solicitors, to prohibit the placement of commercial handbills or flyers on private property that has a posted sign prohibiting solicitation, among other items.
