The New Braunfels City Council will meet Monday, January 14 at 6:00 p.m. for their Regular Meeting at 550 Landa Street. If not attending, the meeting can be viewed on Spectrum Enterprise channel 21 or AT&T U-Verse channel 99. The agenda includes three proclamations, two presentations, 18 items on the Consent Agenda, five of which are ordinances, and 12 Individual Items For Consideration, including the creation of the Solms Landing/New Braunfels Co-Op Public Improvement District.
The meeting will begin with proclamations for Mentoring Month, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the 2018 Wassail Meister Champions, followed by two presentations.
The Consent Agenda includes appointment of individuals to the New Braunfels Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, Heritage Commission, and Community Development Advisory Committee, a resolution in support of the Texas Recreation and Park Society Legislative Platform for the 86th Legislature, and a resolution recommended by the New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation to provide up to $140,000 to the Center for Entrepreneurship for operation of the Small Business Development Center, among other items.
The Individual Items for Consideration include possible action on the creation of the Solms Landing/New Braunfels Co-Op Public Improvement District, amendment to the number of authorized Das Rec childcare positions, and a Special Use Permit to allow the short term rental at 1464 Hillview Avenue, among other items.
