During the Chamber’s 2014 Board Retreat, the Chamber Board of Directors developed a Strategic Plan for 2015-2018. One of the objectives was to increase member engagement via a strategy of creating a new membership model that aligns better with member needs.
A task force was formed in 2016 that represented all types and sizes of the current membership (Retirees, Non-Profit, and small and large businesses). After several working sessions and a presentation to the Board, it was agreed to implement a Tiered Dues Model to go into effect on January 1, 2017, initially for new members. Current Chamber members have the option to remain at their current dues with the standard 3% annual increase or move to the menu or Tiered Dues Model. The Tiered Dues Model will be mandatory for all members starting January 1, 2018.
The new menu option allows businesses to choose how they want to invest in the Chamber, rather than being offered a “one size fits all” model. It gives each business an opportunity to choose what programs and benefits they desire regardless of how many employees they have or what kind of business they are.
We feel you’ll agree that the Tiered Dues Model better recognizes the diversity and needs of our membership and provides increased, customized value.
