The Chamber’s Board of Directors convened on Monday, August 17 via Zoom conference call. Chamber Chair of the Board Wes Studdard presided at this virtual meeting.
During the meeting, board members received a presentation on the San Antonio Street Bridge from Greg Malatek, City of New Braunfels Public Works Director. Open to traffic on July 15, 2020, Malatek spoke to the timeline and process of completing the TxDOT project which reflects structural aspects of the original bridge built in 1923.
In addition, an update on New Braunfels Utilities was provided by NBU CEO and Chamber Vice Chair Ian Taylor. Information on the upcoming Chamber board planning retreat slated for October was also provided by Chair Elect Nathan Manlove.
