Chamber of Commerce Chair Allison Dietert Humphries cut the ribbon celebrating the one-year anniversary of 1845 Meat Co. firing up its European Emerson Smokehouse. Partners and friends, CEO Joe Tays and President Mike Dietert, founded 1845 Meat Co. with the help of Director Rocky Tays and V.P. Brandon Dietert. Their mission - to create a New Braunfels family smoked meat business that serves its community.

1845 Meat Co. sausage was served at Wurstfest by the Downtown Rotary Club with potato pancakes, at both Lions Club booths, and by Junior Livestock Show supporters. We trust that many of you will create a fabulous family meal with one of our smoked spiral cut hams or smoked turkeys. During the holiday season, many charcuterie boards will feature smoked ham, turkey, and beef tenderloins, plus summer sausages, dried sausages, and smoked cheeses from 1845 Meat Co.

“We took the best of old handwritten family recipes, then tested and adjusted the recipes to give customers award-winning taste and variation such as our peach or gouda jalapeno sausages,” said Clint Skarovsky, VP-Plant Manager. The 1845 Meat Co mission is to create what we believe to be the finest fully cooked smoked meats, sausages, and hams available.

Mike Dietert says, “Serving great products made by our families to our community has always been the foundation of our lives.” Both Mike and Brandon have served as Chamber Chair. Joe Tays, also a longtime public volunteer, urges, “Come see us soon or visit us online at www.1845Meat.com! We are ready to serve you and your family, whether locally or shipped nationwide!”
