More than 250 job seekers from the region came to the New Braunfels and Seguin Job Fair held at the Central Texas Technology Center on October 4. The event, hosted by the 10/35 Economic Development Alliance (EDA), accommodated more than 40 employers looking to hire diverse jobs including apprentices, caregivers, cafeteria workers, production and maintenance, teacher aids, CDL drivers and shipping and logistics. Overall, more than 30% of job seekers were offered one or more jobs on the spot.

This was the fourth job fair for 10/35 EDA and was by far the most successful according to both job seekers and employers. “CGT has attended the New Braunfels and Seguin Regional Job Fairs several times over the last couple years. I have truly enjoyed getting to know all the other employers,” said CGT Human Resources Manager Leslie Johnson. “I absolutely love this community! This was by far the most successful job fair so far. The camaraderie of the employers working together to assist the job seekers in finding a great match was nothing short of amazing! We saw many new faces, scheduled a few interviews and even extended one job offer on the spot! It was a very successful day!”
